John's horse shopping tips

#1 - you should like the horse.
And this is very individual and quirky.  You just might not connect with the rock star but like the goofy loser.
#2 - trot can be improved; but walk and canter should be good.
Canter should have rhthym, so you can feel the jump spot.  Your hips should feel even (1-2-3, 1-2-3). Sometimes you have to ride to feel it.

He thought they were ok; the 14 yo was not going to do well in dressage.  He said B's contact with bit could be training but could be teeth.
#4 - Luca
He liked him, but he likes for rider to ride first, because there's no point in finding a horse he likes but you don't connect with.  He says he rarely goes ga-ga over horses.  He said Luca will be a lot of time because he's so young.
#5 - Ocala and California
He said I should shop in Ocala while I'm in Florida, and that Ashley is going to California and will keep me in mind.
